Hey my friends. I’m so glad that you have stopped by. I would like you to spend some time with me today going through my favorite acrylic painting art supplies. I’ve created this video below to help you in your art journey. Regardless if you are painting with me,or just painting…these tips will certainly help you get started or stay motivated. Below the video, I have provided links to most of the supplies mentioned.
I am an affiliate for Blick.com. I love their art supplies and they ship super fast. What this means is that at no cost to you, I can get a small commission from your purchases if you use my links below.
Just click on the picture of each item that you are interested in and it will take you right to that page. Thanks for being here and…Happy shopping, friends!
Mixed Media and Acrylic Paper
The first 2 options are spiraled mixed media pads that are great for practicing your skills with paint strokes or even sketches and drawing. The second 2 options are more expensive options that you can use to paint beautiful paintings on.
All Sizes of Canvases
Here are links to a variety of different levels of canvases, including canvas pads. I’ve also included value packs that are back stapled. The last picture will take you to the blick premier splined canvases with a little more professional finish and quality. The canvases called “traditional” are 7/8″ thick and the canvases called “gallery” are 1.5″ thick. Your canvases that I call SHELF SITTERS are the gallery canvases that are either 6×6, 5×5 or 4×4
blick Wood Panels
Here are some of the links that will take you to all of the wood planels. These are some of my favorites to paint on.
Paints
There a ton of different acrylic paints that you can purchase, from craft paints (in the little bottles) to higher grade acrylics (in the tubes). If you follow any of these links below, it will take you to the page for all of the paint colors and sizes for that particular brand.
Paint Brushes and Palette knives
My recommendation for paint brushes is to find a variety pack at first. Eventually you will want 3 different sizes (small, medium, and large) of each: Flat brush, Round brush, Filbert brush, Angle brush. A set of liner/detail brushes will also come in handy.
Thank you! Looking forward to starting!
Yay!!!
